ARTO colors will always have some variation due to our handcrafted production process and use of natural materials.  The amount of variation will vary depending on tile type.  Concrete tiles will typically have more variation than ceramic tiles.  Within concrete tiles our flashed colors or tiles with optional surface textures will have still more variation.   Blends featuring multiple color  will of course have the most variation.
Unglazed ceramic tiles will feature beautiful color variation depending on where they are located in the kilns (those in hotter areas will typically have darker tones).  Glazed ceramic tiles will have the least variation but even these can vary depending on the type of glaze used.  High fired glazes are applied before the tile body (bisque) is fired so sometimes the underlying clay color shows through.  Low fired glazes are applied to our already fired tile bodies so these will have the least variation of all our tiles.
